Equipment You’ll Need:
We’ve listed equipment below that will make sure your class runs smoothly. If there is anything you don’t have and can’t get by class time, you can likely get creative, but feel free to reach out beforehand to make sure.

Cutting Board Medium cutting board, ideally a small one as well
Bowls Large salad bowl, smaller prep bowls
Knives
Large knife, Paring knife
Measuring Measuring cups, Measuring spoons, Liquid measuring cup (Optional)
Pots + Pans Large (12-14 inches) skillet or pan, preferably non stick, Medium pot (4-6 quarts) for boiling water
Utensils Wooden spoon, Rubber spatula, Cooking spatula, Whisk, Medium tongs (optional).
Cooking Tools Oven, Stove
Other Colander, Garlic press or mini food processor (optional), Baking sheet, Mixer (stand or hand – to whip the tiramisù), Baking dish or trifle bowl for the tiramisu

Signing Up
The sign-up link above will direct you to the registration page for this class, which will allow you to sign up through our booking system. If you have a gift certificate, there will be a place to enter your certificate information on that page. Your registration is official once you have received a confirmation email from our system (be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see it). If you have signed up for a class and have not received a confirmation email, please email info@figcookingschool.com so we can help you out. Please also feel free to email us if you have any questions about the booking process.

Ingredient List + Recipes
An ingredient list will be sent to you a week before the class, or with 24 hours of signup if you sign up less than 7 days before. You will receive all recipes no less than 24 hours before the class.

Accessing the Class
Your class will take place via Zoom. A link, along with detailed instructions for access, will be emailed to you a minimum 24 hours before the class is scheduled to begin. We recommend downloading and familiarizing yourself with Zoom here at your earliest convenience.

Cancellation
Fig classes and gift certificates are not refundable under any circumstance. Tickets are valid only for the virtual event purchased and cannot be transferred to another event. Please think of this as buying a ticket for a show; we keep class size limited and turn away many customers from sold out classes. Recipe packets, as well as a recording of the class, will be sent out automatically so in the event that you miss your class, you will still be able to learn and enjoy the experience.

Gifts
A Fig experience is a perfect gift for a friend, loved one, or business associate. However we strongly recommend buying gift certificates rather than signing up somebody for a class as a surprise, since this often results in schedule conflicts. Per our cancellation policy above, classes, including virtual classes, are non-refundable for any reason, and giving a gift certificate allows the recipient to choose a date that works for them, and avoid disappointment.

Dietary Restrictions
When cooking along with our virtual classes, you are more than welcome to make substitutions as necessary. Please note that many substitutions will alter the final outcome of the recipe. If you have any questions about making substitutions, please feel free to reach out to us.

Arrival & Departure
Our class will begin promptly, so we recommend logging on several minutes early so as not to miss any of the action.

Please note that end times are approximate, depending on the complexity of the food we are making. We encourage you to ensure that you have up to a half hour of padding in your schedule after your class is scheduled to end, but if you are operating under a strict time constriction, please let us know so we can ensure the lesson is wrapped up on time.
